The church is monolithic.

Its hard bricks fenced in

by Gothic metal teeth.

Yet I stood there mesmerized

by this pure and perfect scene.

The flowers on the tree so lovely,

their beauty mirrored on the cross

and again at the doors of the church.

Contemplating the message before me

  1. This church takes up half a city block, and was simply too big to get it all in. I think it is one of the prettiest in downtown Huntsville. ~ L

  2. I love that tree so full of flowers!
    It’s a nice angle that you chose, juxtaposing the God-made florality (my word) of the tree (Dogwood?) with the hard, man-made brick building.
